Patients can now check results online using SystmOnline & the NHS App. Log in and go to the tab 'Medical Record' and click 'Test Results'.
Patient bloods tests and recent scans are available on SystmOnline & the NHS App. If the results are not available after 10 days, please call the GP practice.

Both the out-patient phlebotomy service and the pathology laboratories are in the sub-basement of the hospital (Huddersfield Royal Infirmary) and can be found by entering the hospital via the main entrance, turning left through the cafeteria into the corridor and taking the lift to level “sub-basement.”
The opening hours for blood tests at HRI are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm by appointment only (01484 355765). It is advisable to ring for appointments in the afternoon when the department is quieter and staff are available to answer the telephone.

Approximate time taken for results to return back to Practice:
• Vaginal Swab - 3 working days
• Mid-stream urine - 4 working days
• Blood Tests - 5 working days
• General swabs & Stool specimens - 7 working days
• X-Rays - 10-14 working days
• Cervical smears - 3-5 weeks
We only contact you should the doctor require you to come into the surgery to discuss your test results once they have been returned.
*Please note we do not report normal results back to the patient.
